Professor Sławomir Smyczek on the board of DUKENET
Between 5-9 June in Harstad (Norway) took place a general meeting of DUKENET - an international consortium of business and economics schools. University of Economics in Katowice is a member of the consortium since 2008. During the meeting were selected new board. Professor Sławomir Smyczek was elected the Vice President of DUKENET for two years term.

On the 6th of June 2013, the Erasmus Student Network of our University hosted a Goodbye party for our International Students. It was the summer semester edition of ERASMUS Awards night & Goodbye Party which was held in the student's club Kwadraty.
Are you the 3.000.000th Erasmus Student?
In the academic year 2012/2013 the Erasmus Programme celebrates an important milestone: Three million students have enjoyed the opportunity to go on Erasmus. To celebrate this achievement, one student per participating country representing the 3.000.000th student will be selected.
One week of flavors, music, dance and languages of the world!
A unique International Garden grew in Katowice on Monday 3rd of June. Together with foreign students, we explored the flavours, music, and languages from the 4 corners of the world in 6 days of International Garden: lessons in Georgian, brewing a cup of tea according to Chinese tradition, exploring the myths and legends of India, cooking dumplings. The event is prepared by the Institution of Culture Katowice – City of Gardens. Our University is an institutional partner.
